The Complete Fruit Merge Order
Every Suika-style game is built on one simple rule: two identical fruits merge into the next fruit in the chain. Knowing the exact order — and what each merge is worth — is the foundation of every strategy. Here is the complete chain in Fruit Merge:
The full merge chain
- Cherry — 1 point. The smallest droppable fruit.
- Strawberry — 3 points. Droppable.
- Grape — 6 points. Droppable.
- Orange — 10 points. Droppable.
- Persimmon — 15 points. The largest droppable fruit.
- Apple — 21 points. Merge-only from here on.
- Pear — 28 points.
- Peach — 36 points.
- Dragon Fruit — 45 points. The spiky one.
- Pineapple — 55 points. Wears a leafy crown.
- Coconut — 66 points.
- Melon — 78 points.
- Watermelon — 91 points, and the end of the chain. Merging two watermelons clears them both and awards a 250-point bonus.
Why the order matters for strategy
Because only the five smallest fruits ever fall from your hand, everything above persimmon has to be built. That means every big fruit on your board is the tip of a pyramid of smaller merges — and burying a needed small fruit under a big one can block an entire branch of the chain. Good players read the board bottom-up: the biggest fruits belong in the corners, with progressively smaller fruits stacked toward the drop zone, so that each new merge rolls naturally downhill toward its bigger neighbor.
The point values also grow faster than linearly — a watermelon merge chain scores far more than the same fruits left unmerged. Chasing chain reactions, where one merge triggers the next, is how high scores snowball.
Does every merge game use this order?
