Pineapple Merge Guide: Crowning the Golden King
Pineapple Merge Guide is one of our free browser merge games — play it here. This guide covers its complete merge chain and the strategy specifics that separate it from the classic Fruit Merge.
The full merge chain
Baby Green → Sprout → Young → Half-Ripe → Ripe → Sunny → Amber → Sunset → Roasted → Royal → Golden King
As in every Suika-style game, only the five smallest tiers ever drop from your hand — everything above must be created by merging, and the final tier is the trophy. Merging two of the final tier clears them both for a huge bonus.
Strategy for this variant
- The green-to-yellow gradient between neighboring tiers is subtle — when unsure, compare crowns: every pineapple has one, but sizes differ more than shades.
- Pineapple crowns add visual height but not physical height — don't panic when crowns poke over the danger line; only the body counts.
- This is the friendliest variant for chain-reaction practice: the smooth ladder means merge results almost always have a same-stage neighbor nearby.
Universal fundamentals
The core skills are the same across all our games: keep your biggest piece in a corner, maintain a size gradient across the box, never bury the small pieces, and engineer chain reactions. For the full treatment, read our 10 tips guide and the watermelon strategy — every tactic transfers directly.
