Planet Merge Guide: Forging the Sun
Planet Merge Guide is one of our free browser merge games — play it here. This guide covers its complete merge chain and the strategy specifics that separate it from the classic Fruit Merge.
The full merge chain
Asteroid → Moon → Mercury → Mars → Venus → Earth → Neptune → Uranus → Saturn → Jupiter → The Sun
As in every Suika-style game, only the five smallest tiers ever drop from your hand — everything above must be created by merging, and the final tier is the trophy. Merging two of the final tier clears them both for a huge bonus.
Strategy for this variant
- The ringed planets (Uranus, Saturn) look wider than they collide — rings are cosmetic, so they can overlap neighbors safely. Don't waste space avoiding rings.
- Earth is your landmark: everything before it is rocky and small, everything after is giant. Losing track of Earth means losing track of the board.
- The dark background makes the danger line subtler than in other variants — keep your own mental line one planet lower.
Universal fundamentals
The core skills are the same across all our games: keep your biggest piece in a corner, maintain a size gradient across the box, never bury the small pieces, and engineer chain reactions. For the full treatment, read our 10 tips guide and the watermelon strategy — every tactic transfers directly.
