Realistic Watermelon Merge Guide: Know Your Melons
Realistic Watermelon Merge Guide is one of our free browser merge games — play it here. This guide covers its complete merge chain and the strategy specifics that separate it from the classic Fruit Merge.
The full merge chain
Sugar Baby → Honeydew → Crimson Sweet → Galia → Jubilee → Cantaloupe → Charleston Gray → Casaba → Black Diamond → Winter Melon → Giant Watermelon
As in every Suika-style game, only the five smallest tiers ever drop from your hand — everything above must be created by merging, and the final tier is the trophy. Merging two of the final tier clears them both for a huge bonus.
Strategy for this variant
- Odd tiers are watermelons, even tiers are pale melons — if two adjacent pieces look the same type, they are two tiers apart, not one.
- Black Diamond (tier 9) is the investment piece: two of them are the hardest pair in the game to assemble side by side.
- All melons are round and heavy — expect thuds, not bounces, from the top half of the ladder.
Universal fundamentals
The core skills are the same across all our games: keep your biggest piece in a corner, maintain a size gradient across the box, never bury the small pieces, and engineer chain reactions. For the full treatment, read our 10 tips guide and the watermelon strategy — every tactic transfers directly.
